In this episode, Paul discusses more how one needs to reevaluate friends and relationships to have a real chance at quitting drug addiction to find sobriety. Also discussed is coping with the idea of a “higher power” to help someone combat substance abuse.
In this episode, Paul talks a little about the two Beachbody programs he’s currently doing, Body Beast and Cize. He shows you a before and after pic of his transformation. Also, he talks about some of the supplements he’s taking to build muscle and have better nutrition. Lastly, he touches on the topic of people not having enough time for fitness due to work or being parents.
This past week, I had the pleasure of attending Chalene Johnson’s Marketing Impact Academy in San Diego. It was an excellent time
I successfully completed ALL of my Body Beast workouts during the week. I expected to do Beachbody on Demand in the gym, but instead, I just followed my workout sheets and it went rather well. It was also fun being around so many others in a public setting who love Beachbody. People were very open and encouraging.
I had wanted to keep you guys updated about my experiences there, but the first day Chalene gave an eye opening lesson about “security.” I wound up not wanting to post for fear that I could be robbed back home. It’s sort of a shame because I like live updates and showing what I’m up to when I’m away having fun, but for me, caution is warranted for various reasons.
Anyway, on day one, Chalene introduced attendees to “DUBSMASH.” It’s an app that lets users film themselves while lip syncing to popular songs or quotes from movies. She told everyone to make their own videos for Instagram and give it the hashtag #dubmia. At first, very few people took the initiative to be creative to make some of these videos. My friend/Beachbody coach Brian was adamant that we start cranking theses things out. We made some pretty funny stuff.
The following day, all of our first day’s videos were featured in front of the whole group. Chalene called us out in front of the audience and spontaneously upgraded me to VIP where I joined my friends. I was thrilled. The DUBSMASH videos served as a platform to distinguish our presence there, and at first, since almost nobody else did them, we stood out. In the days that followed, hundreds of others began to make their own videos. Everyone strived to be very creative and it was quite fun and inspiring.
I cannot tell you enough how pivotal this event could be for many people. The information is solid. If you’re sitting on the fence about your ideas, something like Marketing Impact Academy can light the fire in you to start taking action, and moreover provide a blueprint to begin doing so with meaningful results. I highly encourage folks to make the investment to go.
Also, unlike any regular day at home, that people are there for a common purpose helps enormously to facilitate new connections. People were saying hi and getting to know one another and it is refreshing. I only wish that day to day life could offer so much in the form of social opportunities. There’s nothing like industrious and intelligent people coming together for common goals, like being better people, to be successful, to meet other like minds, to develop both personally and professionally. This experience was valuable on many levels. It was educational and personally rewarding. If you get the chance, you should jump at going to one of Chalene’s events. The value is there.
Now, I’m home. Yesterday I did Beast Cardio. I did great but it kicked my butt. The excitement of last week has transformed into a pensive quiet. What do I want to do? First, I want to rest a little, but then I am going to start moving on my goals in a novel and determined way.
